Our Nation's Water Supply is at far more risk than you might think.  When most people think of threats to our water supply they think of reservoirs and water treatment plants but the fact is these would make difficult and very stupid targets.  Can you imagine a terrorist going to extravagant measures to "try" to contaminate a reservoir with thousands of pounds of material when all he has to do is pump a small quantity of contaminants into any one of hundreds of millions of faucets that are readily and discreetly available in every home and building.  That's right, if you want to contaminate thousands of households downstream from you, all you have to do is pump toxins through your garden or home faucet.
